Roughly 90% of the top lenders use FICO scores when making lending decisions.
It kinda makes sense to know what your FICO score is and learn how to improve it if you need to improve your credit score, right?
What is Myfico?
Myfico is a credit monitoring and credit report company that has two main benefits they offer.
1. They can tell you your credit score
2. They can monitor your credit for you (and help you improve it over time)
Those two reasons above are the main reasons why you would consider using Myfico to help improve your finances.
If you have a need for either of the two above services, I recommend using MyFico. There are many types of credit scores, however, FICO scores are clearly the most widely used, and FICO scores come from MyFico, so to me, it makes sense to use MyFico as my credit monitoring, credit reporting, and credit score source.
How Does MyFico benefit You?
MyFico will get you your credit score from all 3 credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion, Experian). Different lending institutions report to different credit bureaus, so it’s important to get your score from all 3 bureaus.
Basically, you will get access to all 3 bureau credit reports and FICO scores, including FICO scores most widely used for mortgages, auto and credit card lending. You want to know where you stand with your credit score before applying for these types of loans.
You’ll also get an updates to your FICO score every quarter so you can stay on top of your credit score.
Along with that, MyFico will monitor your credit report from all 3 bureaus and give you a historical tracking graph for each bureau to show your progress. This is great if you want to see how you are improving over time, or if you are slipping, then you know you need to make a change.
MyFico also comes with Identity theft monitor, lost wallet protection, 24/7 full service identity restoration, and $1million in identity theft insurance.
MyFico has 3 plans to choose from. The plan above is their Ultimate 3B plan and it’s their most comprehensive plan.
Note: The information above is thought to be accurate at time of writing this, but it could be different.
I recommend checking out MyFico’s product page to see their most popular plans by clicking here.
MyFico Additional Information
In this MyFico review, I’ll go over some other important things you may be interested in.
MyFico has an excellent forum. It’s a very large forum dedicated to talking mostly about credit related issues. For example, it talks about credit cards, mortgage loans, auto loans, student loans, and rebuilding credit. I love their forum because there’s a lot of knowledge on there that I don’t see as much of on other forums. I also like it because it focuses on credit mostly. A lot of other financial forums focus on a lot of different personal finance topics and that’s great too but if you want to get smarter about credit specifically, MyFICO forums should be at the top of your list. You can check out the MYFICO Forum here.
MyFico Promo Code
If you’re interested in signing up for MyFICO, then you may be interested in a MYFICO Promo code. These Promo codes can save you a little bit of money off your MYFICO subscription or one time purchase plans. You could save a few dollars or more depending on the plan you choose. Anyway, to get a MYFICO promo code, you’ll probably want to just visit Google and type in “Promo code MYFICO” or something similar to that. You’ll get a bunch of websites that can get you a promotional offer for MYFICO. A popular coupon place to check out would be GROUPON, who’s whole job is to give consumers coupons for just about everything. Check out GROUPONS MYFICO coupon codes here.
MyFico Free Trial
It looks like MYFICO has free trials for some of their products from time to time. After doing a bit of research on Google, it doesn’t seem like they have any free trials currently. I checked a bunch of websites for trials but nothing came up. I did find Promo Codes however. It also doesn’t look like MYFICO has free trials very often from what I’ve been able to dig up. Maybe you can dig some stuff up too.
MyFico Credit Cards
Did you know MYFICO also offers credit cards? Yep, they do. I guess it’s not surprising a credit monitoring/reporting company is also in the business of giving out credit. MYFICO has a pretty nice page on their website that offers very popular credit cards, like Chase Freedom and American Express Gold. I think the coolest thing and maybe the biggest reason why you may want to visit MYFICO’s Credit Card page is because they list credit cards by FICO score. So basically, if you obtained your credit score, you will know what types of credit cards you should apply for. Because you don’t want to apply for credit cards you’ll get rejected for because it dings your credit score a little – and we don’t want to do that unnecessarily! If you want to check out their credit cards page, click here.
MyFico Coupon And Discounts
Just like above, MYFICO has coupons and discounts you can find around the internet. Just hit up google and search for them. Sometimes they are bit bogus but when you are at the checkout page on MYFICO, then just enter some coupons and see what you get. I usually do that until I find a coupon that works.
MyFICO has an app too. It gives you your credit picture from your phone. You can view your FICO scores and credit reports, get credit alerts and other fun stuff right on your phone. It works for Android or Apple. You’ll need to have a MFICO.com account in order to use the app. So I would sign up for one. Not all features are free though. You will need a subscription plan to gain access to certain features. To see the app, click here.
